Propositions in Propositional

چکیده
In this paper it is shown that addition of certain reductions to the standard cut removing reductions of deductions in propositional logic makes propositional logic non-normalizable. From this follows that some provable propositions in propositional logic has no direct proof.

Propositional Logic, Modal Logic and Temporal Logic Definition The syntax of propositional logics is defined as φ ::= p | ¬φ | φ ∨ φ | φ ∧ φ where p ranges over a (finite) set of atomic propositions AP. متن کاملConsistent Bayesian updating with unconsidered propositions
In this paper, we employ the propositional approach developed by Grant and Quiggin (2004) and consider the properties of Bayesian updating in the presence of unconsidered propositions.

Our propositional-attitude concepts are indispensable to us; our very survival depends on the ways we use those concepts to exploit others as sources of information about the extra-cranial world and to predict and explain our own and other people’s behavior. If, as many suppose, to have a propositional attitude is to stand in a propositional-attitude relation to a proposition, then we should fi...
متن کاملPropositional Attitudes? *
According to the standard lore on propositions, there are many propositional attitudes, including belief, fear, and desire. The standard lore is partly correct: belief is a propositional attitude. But, so this paper argues, fear and desire are never propositional attitudes, not even when the content of the relevant fear or desire can be fully expressed by using a that-clause. 1. What I Mean by ...
